Kathak is traditionally a storytelling danceform, has gone through majore transition during Mughal era. The dance presentation of 55 minutes will have it s strong religious, mythical, mystical, traditionnal, repertoir, choreographed through Mudras, (hand gestures) from Natyashastra, the scripture written with specific grammar for performing arts in India. Namrata incorporates her studies into Natyashastra in this dance piece narating the ancient stories, and the unique charactere of the theme,(T2T) lies in how the dancer blends, the classical repertoir with a comtempory idea behind.

T2T talks of the fast change india is going through. From past to present with a look at the future the trilogy is complete in itself. Visual of Modern and ancient india has been incorporated into the performance seemlessly, to give a audiovisual feel to the audience.Sounds from indian street and different athmospheric (gender),( character )is manipulated live by Lionel D. The traditionnal music, performed by tabla, sitar, and rebaab has been design to fit the choregraphical work of Namrata P.

This piece has Amjad Khan on tabla and Lionel D on sounds, sitar and rebaab… T2T brings to the audience a unique character of how the ancient India morph into new spheres, dimensions, and era…

One dancer, one tabla player and sitar, rebab and sound, total three people.
